WHY DO YOU NEED TO HIRE AN EXPERIENCED CRIMINAL ATTORNEY

Being accused of committing a criminal act could result in serious consequences.  In other words, your freedom is at stake.  The law is complicated and if you try to represent yourself, you may end up facing more severe consequences even though you were innocent.
An experienced criminal attorney will start working for you even before your first court appearance.  You must understand that you are up against the Prosecuting Agency, Police Agency and the detectives who followed up on the initial police report.  Hiring the right criminal attorney can make a difference.  Criminal attorneys usually have their own investigators, experts, or other professional contacts that can be used in defending your case.  By hiring the criminal defense attorney as soon as possible will allow the attorney to start building your defense.
The attorney and his investigators can go to the scene and get a first hand look at where the alleged crime occurred.  Also, having a criminal defense attorney with a background as a former prosecutor or former police officer helps in gaining insight as to how the police handled your case.  Did the police follow proper procedures, was the evidence collected properly, were you interviewed properly and provided your Miranda Rights.  Finally, at the early stages the criminal defense attorney and his investigator can start interviewing witnesses who were present during the alleged criminal act.
What is important to me is that you are not a file number or case file.  You are a person with a name and it is not Defendant.  The Prosecutor, Judge and Jury will know your name and who you are.
